 Blachford Environmental Policy
Blachford is committed to managing its businesses in such a way as to minimize the impact of our products and activities, particularly manufacturing processes, on the environment.
In more specific terms, our policy is to:
- Strive continuously to improve our environmental performance through reducing the contamination of air, water and soil, and conserving natural resources, such as oil and gas.
- Meet or exceed all applicable government environmental legislation, regulations and standards.
- Make low environmental impact a priority in our planning for all new or improved products and processes.
- Commit to the recovery and recycling of chemicals and other materials wherever feasible.
- Develop and maintain an environmental management system for setting, implementing and monitoring the attainment of environmental objectives.
- Educate all employees in the environmental aspects of their work and motivate them to conduct their on-the-job activities in an environmentally responsible manner.
- Carry out hazard identification and risk assessment to determine priorities for environmental impact reduction projects.
- Promote protection of the environment with our customers, suppliers, distributors and contractors.
- Communicate to our employees and other stakeholders our environmental policy, our environmental protection practices, and our progress towards achieving our environmental goals.
