 Metal Working Compounds
Blachford manufactures and supplies a broad range of technologically advanced metal working products, used in a wide range of industrial applications. Custom-made products can be developed in our laboratories for customer and equipment specific applications.
Our products for the steel industry include rolling oils, and also pickle and corrosion-inhibiting slushing oils, fire-resistant hydraulic oils and emulsions. We also sell mill conditioners, edge sealers, coolant system cleaners, maintenance cleaners, and a variety of customized additives.
Other product groups sold include machining and grinding coolant lubricants, forming compounds for stamping and drawing, a full range of part and maintenance cleaners, fire resistant hydraulic fluids and tube and pipe coatings.
Many of these products, which we manufacture in our Mississauga plant, are made under a license agreement with Quaker Chemical Corporation of Conshohocken, Pennsylvania. This is an agreement that we have had since 1948 and which gives us the exclusive rights to the Canadian market for all Quaker metal working products.
We also have new fluid recycling services, which assists the metal working industry in reducing costs and labour, controlling processes and minimizing waste.
